Landing at Lancia: Meet our new consultants

Introducing our new consultants! Get to know our new team members with a Q&A!

Each year, we kick off our signature onboarding experience, Landing at Lancia, designed to immerse new consultants into life at Lancia Consult from day one.

This year, we’re thrilled to welcome Anna-Jane Murphy, Rosie Cottrell, and Nicholas Edwards to the team!

To help you get to know them better, we sat down for a quick Q&A covering their backgrounds, what inspired them to join Lancia, and what they’re most excited about in their new roles.

Anna-Jane Murphy

What inspired you to join Lancia Consult?

I first discovered Lancia Consult through a guest lecture at Queen’s University, and their message really stuck with me. They spoke about their commitment to hiring people from diverse backgrounds and experiences, which creates a dynamic and inclusive environment where different perspectives are genuinely valued.

What also stood out was the boutique nature of the firm, small enough to feel personal and collaborative, yet ambitious in its impact. I was fortunate to attend their assessment centre in Belfast, where I experienced hands-on, interactive sessions that gave a real insight into the kind of client-facing work consultants at Lancia get involved in. That blend of meaningful responsibility, close-knit teamwork, and a culture of openness made it clear that Lancia was the right place for me to start my consulting journey.

What excites you most about your new role?

What excites me most about my new role at Lancia is the incredible diversity of work I’ll have the opportunity to get involved in. From day one, it’s clear that consultants here are trusted with meaningful, hands-on client work, which is both empowering and motivating. Having already met the team, I’m looking forward to collaborating closely with them and building strong relationships with our clients—helping them solve real challenges and make a genuine impact.

I also feel a strong connection to Lancia’s core values: being Genuine, Entrepreneurial, Practical, and Invested. These values are reflected in everything the firm does, and I’m excited to contribute to that culture (and it's a dog-friendly office!).

One fun fact about you

I have lived out my 'AJ in Paris' dream, of living in France for a year, split between Paris and the French Alps region. I had the chance to explore all the sites and visit many patisseries.

Favourite way to unwind after work

Having grown up by the sea, there is nothing better than a sunset beach walk with my dogs! I also enjoy meeting up with my friends, going to the gym, and hosting wine and cheese evenings.

What inspired you to join Lancia Consult?

Whilst working for a student-led consulting company, I was privileged enough to receive mentoring from the Lancia Consult team. Receiving a plethora of training and support, I was hugely inspired by Lancia’s refreshing approach, passionate ethos, and fierce commitment to investing in clients’ challenges. Experiencing their collaborative problem-solving approach firsthand, I was inspired to join the team and contribute to developing meaningful solutions.

What excites you most about your new role?

There are many reasons that excite me about my new role; however, if I had to choose one, it would be the ability to make contributions from the outset. Rather than waiting on the peripheries, Lancia values their newly joined consultants as key contributors. I am therefore excited to get involved in projects and feel supported and encouraged by the team to voice my ideas.
