The Challenge
TransPak, a global leader in packaging and logistics solutions, faced an important operational milestone: launching its new Singapore office with the ability to support Ocean and Air freight capabilities within a tight six-week window.
TransPak requested for Lancia Consult to implement a foundational version of CargoWise, a comprehensive logistics management platform, to support their needs. Beyond freight forwarding capabilities, the solution also had to encompass essential supporting functions such as Accounting, ensuring seamless integration and compliance from day one.
The Solution
To meet the ambitious timeline and ensure a smooth go-live for our client’s Singapore office, a structured and collaborative approach was adopted. Key activities included:
· Discovery & Solution Design - Conducted in-depth discovery workshops with key stakeholders to gather requirements and design a solution that addressed both immediate operational needs and long-term scalability.
· System Configuration & Data Migration - Configured the CargoWise platform to support core functions, including Air and Sea Freight operations, as well as Accounting.
· Document and Workflow Customisation - Tailored essential documents for TransPak’s specific needs, and built workflow automation to populate data fields in these documents.
· Reporting Enhancements - Developed custom reports to facilitate the export of transactional data to an external Accounting system, operational milestone tracking reports to provide visibility to key client accounts, and customer billing and financial reconciliation.
· Training & Enablement - Delivered comprehensive training programmes for Operations, Finance, and IT teams, ensuring users were confident and capable in navigating the new system from launch.
The Impact
Within a short timeframe, TransPak successfully onboarded to the CargoWise platform and began operations at its Singapore office. A comprehensive training programme resulted in a smooth transition for Operations, Finance, and IT users, with users demonstrating increased proficiency and confidence in using the new system. As a result, TransPak was able to maintain business continuity while laying a strong digital foundation for future growth in the region.
