We're excited to feature two new Consultants from our Singapore office - Karen Teo and Lee Si Yi! In this Q&A, find out what surprised them about working at Lancia Consult, what project has been particularly exciting, and what they're looking forward to as we head into 2026!
Say hello to Karen!

Q: Tell us about your educational and professional background.
I graduated with a degree in Social Policy and Quantitative Methods and began my career in the social service sector, working directly with communities. While this experience was deeply rewarding, I discovered a stronger interest in strategic work.
This led me to a social service organisational role, where I supported the strategy team. I later transitioned into strategy consulting and now serve as an Implementation Consultant at Lancia Consult.
Q: Share a fun fact about yourself!
I love smelling books before reading them - dry, woody, and a little musty. I hope my house will smell like that one day (still searching for that perfect diffuser!). I also love pairing a good book with the right soundtrack; it elevates the whole experience and transports me into another world.
Q: What was it about Lancia Consult or our mission that initially attracted you to join the team here?
I wanted to be part of a team where strategic thinking leads to tangible outcomes and build, and Lancia Consult offers exactly that. What really stood out to me was the culture. I sensed it during my first conversation with HR. The balance of working hard while enjoying the journey resonated with me and reinforced my decision to join.
Q: What is one thing that has genuinely surprised you about working at Lancia Consult?
One thing that genuinely surprised me is how much it feels like a family here. Colleagues quickly become friends - some even go on holidays together, and the circle has grown for this upcoming holiday. I was also impressed by the leadership’s accessibility: the Managing Director makes time for one-on-one lunches with everyone, and even the CEO took the time for a coffee chat with me when visiting the Singapore office. That level of personal connection is rare and truly stood out.
Q: Who is one person (or team) that has been instrumental in helping you settle in, and what did they teach you?
I was fortunate to have both a buddy and a LIFT coach assigned to me, and they were instrumental in helping me settle in. My buddy provided a comforting presence and was always available for casual chats, while my LIFT coach shared practical tips and is someone I can turn to for advice.
Beyond that, all the teams I’ve worked with, and even colleagues outside my immediate team, have been incredibly friendly and willing to help whenever approached. That openness made the transition much smoother.

Q: Can you share a little about a project or challenge that you’re currently tackling?
I will share a project I recently delivered that I found particularly interesting — a Procurement Transformation with CoPilot integration, which was also our team’s first CoPilot-to-NetSuite integration.
We used Microsoft CoPilot to assist the organisation in creating procurement documentation. Users enter prompts, and CoPilot generates background information and justification text for users. Drafted content is integrated directly into NetSuite, reducing drafting effort while ensuring documents are ready for processing in the system.
On the NetSuite side, we also streamlined their approval process by moving from email-based approvals to automated routing within the system. NetSuite now handles approval flows from one level to the next, reducing manual follow-ups. It also supports easier audit checks, since every action is recorded within the system.
Q: What are you most looking forward to in the next three months with the Lancia Consult team?
I’m looking forward to the upcoming celebrations, Christmas, New Year, and Chinese New Year, as they’re always a great way to connect and bond with the team. Beyond that, I’m excited to kick off the new year with fresh challenges and opportunities to learn, contribute, and grow with Lancia Consult.

One aspect that has truly impressed me is the culture of readily offering guidance whenever support is needed – whether it pertains to client work, career development, or even personal aspirations.

My project team members have consistently guided me through my assigned responsibilities, allowing me to develop a stronger grasp of our client’s business and the ERP system (Oracle NetSuite). Moreover, my LIFT coach has offered excellent advice that helped me adjust effectively to the steep learning curve as a new joiner.
